Edith Mary Scornavacchi

Edith Mary (Sharman) Scornavacchi, 83, of 3110 Pine Tree Lane, Wyomissing, died September 9th at 5:14 am in her residence.

She was the widow of Dr. Joseph M. Scornavacchi, who died October 20, 1998.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles W., Sr., and Edith Mary (Maurer) Sharman.

She was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School.

Mrs. Scornavacchi was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

She was a past president of the Staff Wives auxiliary at St. Joseph Hospital, Reading.

Mrs. Scornavacchi is survived by two daughters, Paula (Scornavacchi) Desjardins of Wyomissing Park and Lisa (Scornavacchi) Longenecker of Wyomissing.

Other survivors include three sons, Dr. Joseph M., Jr., of Cumru Township, Michael J. of Lancaster and Thomas J. of Shillington.

There are also 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 10:00 am in Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Visitation will be Saturday 9:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Contributions may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church at the above address or to Reading Musical Foundation, 531 Canal Street, Reading, Pa 19602. Edward J.
