Edith E. Kreska

Edith Elizabeth (McCoy) Kreska, 88, formerly of Franklin Street, Wyomissing and the St. Joseph Living Center, Muhlenberg Twp., died September 26th at 6:10 am ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township, where she had been since August 25th.

She was the widow of Chester Jan Kreska, Sr., who died May 10, 1994.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Stuart and Ruth (Eddinger) McCoy.

She was a 1933 graduate of Reading High School.

Kreska co-owned and operated with her husband, Kreska's Farm Fare, Temple for 28 years before retiring in 1988.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Kreska is survived by a daughter, Susan E. (Kreska) wife of James M. Watts, Sr., of Spring Township and a son, Chester J. Kreska Jr., husband of Marian B. (Kissling) of Spring Township.

Other survivors include five grandchildren and one great grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 12:00 noon in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. Visitation 11:00 am until time of mass. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, Pa 19605. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
