Edgar Lehr

Edgar Lehr, 88, of West Reading, passed away December 6, 2016, in Berks Heim.

He was the husband of Doris (Baker) Lehr.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Francis Edgar and Irene (Walbreker) Lehr.

He was a graduate of West Reading High School in 1946 and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.

Edgar was a U.S. Marine veteran serving during WWII.

He worked as an accountant for 42 years for Berkshire Knitting Mills, Vanity Fair, and VF Corporation.

Edgar was an avid golfer. He will be dearly missed by his family.

He was a member of the National Accountants Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Barry, husband of Susan Lehr, West Reading; and Michael, husband of Jennifer Lehr, Sinking Spring. Three grandchildren: Kevin Lehr, Piscataway, NJ; Krystle Lehr, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and David Lehr, Sinking Spring also survive him.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading . Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
