Edgar Espinosa

Edgar Espinosa, 69, of Laureldale, passed away July 10, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Maria S. Espinosa, whom he married 46 years ago.

Born November 27, 1944 in Yucatan, Mexico, he was a son of the late Jaquain and Cecilia Marie (Loen) Gomez.

He was a machinist for Lucent Technologies for over 33 years.

Edgar was a car enthusiast. He was known as a hard worker and a sharp dresser. He was a loving husband, and father, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of St Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, Reading.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his four children: Jesus E. Ortiz, Reading; Ramon Ortiz, Reading; Edgar Espinosa, Macungie; and Maria G. Espinosa, Reading. Also surviving are his 9 grandchildren: Ashely Espinosa, Jordon Espinosa, Alexandra Espinosa, Sophia Roman, Shamyro Roman, Keishia Ortiz, Christopher Ortiz, Rachel Ortiz, and Ray Ortiz, Jr., and his great-granddaughter, Alexis Roman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 322 S 5th St, Reading. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
