Eckton . H. Wallace

Wallace H. "Chip" Eckton III, 45, died in the care of his loving family on November 20, 2007 in his Spring Township residence.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of Wallace H. Jr. and Mary L. (Small) Eckton, Spring Township.

He was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1979 and New York University in 1990.

Chip was a columnist at outsidervoice.com. He was a caregiver as a CNA and a former ESL teacher. Chip had been active in local theatre groups.

In addition to his parents he is survived by Akira Maeda, New York City; a brother Michael A. husband of Manisha C.Eckton, Arlington, Mass; and two sisters Susan A. wife of Joseph J. Gallen Jr., Shillington, and Teresa L. wife of Thomas M. Martellacci; and a step-daughter Amy L. Himes both of Exeter Township.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:00am in St. John Baptist de LaSalle Church 420 Holland Street, Shillington, PA 19607. Friends may call one hour prior to services in the church.
