Earl Yoder Potts, 79, of Muhlenberg Township, died January 20, 2008 at 2:40 pm in Spruce Manor Nursing Home, West Reading, where he had been a resident since August 2006.
Born February 16, 1928 in Muhlenberg Township, (Yoders Hill), he was a son of the late Earl Stanley and Mary Helen (Yoder) Potts.
He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
Earl was a member Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Tuckerton.
He was the owner/operator of the Sportsman Pub, Laureldale for seven years, until 1979.
Earl was also employed 17 years in the maintenance department with Western Electric, Muhlenberg Township.
He was a life member of Goodwill (Hyde Park) Fire Company, Central Fire Company and the Temple Democratic Club.
Earl is survived by two children, Mary Ann (Potts) Campbell of Wyomissing and Gerald E. Potts of Atlanta, Georgia.
Other survivors include a brother, Gene Potts of Temple, four grandchildren; Aleeca Janvrin, James Campbell, Lauren Salvatore and Nolan Campbell and four great grandchildren; Michael, Charlie, Maggie and Tyler.
Services will be private. Burial with Military Honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
