Earl R. Fenstermacher

Earl Robert "Pinky" Fenstermacher, 78, of Greenfields ,died March 26th at 9:00 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been since Friday.

He was the husband of Janet M. (Speece) Fenstermacher.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Solon E. and Dorothy V. (Keller) Fenstermacher.

He was employed as a carman and upholsterer for the Reading Railroad for 42 years until his retirement in May 1989.

Fenstermacher was an Navy Veteran of WWII.

He is also survived by a son Robert E. husband of Lynn A. (Bechtel) Fenstermacher of Mohrsville, Berks County.

Other survivors include two daughters, Kayle S. (Fenstermacher) wife of Gene W. Becker of St. Lawrence and Debra J. (Fenstermacher) Schwenk of Exeter Township.

There are also six grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Diane M. LaFauci officiating. Viewings Tuesday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Wednesday 12:30pm until time of service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, Pa 19605.
