Earl C. Burkhart

Earl C. "Whitey" Burkhart, 75, of Ruscombmanor Township, died July 28, 2007 in the Reading Hospital, West Reading where he had been a patient since July 19th.

He was the husband of the late Edith J. (Clemison) Burkhart, who died in 1985.

Born in Reading on May 27, 1932, Earl was a son to the late Earl C. and Ida (Tice) Burkhart.

He was employed by Dolan Construction Company, Reading as a carpenter for many years.

Earl served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War.

He is survived by two children, Curtis A. of York and Donna M. Rothenberger and her fiancé Richard Maloney of Temple.

Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Denise Burkhart of Oley.

There are also 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
