E. Arlene Vath

E. Arlene (Boone) Vath, 92, formerly of Shillington, passed away May 6, 2008, in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Reading.

She was the widow of Joseph L. Vath, who died January 17, 2006.

Born in Shillington, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Elva (Huyett) Boone.

Arlene was a 1933 graduate of Shillington High School.

She was a member of St. John Baptist de LaSalle Roman Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the choir.

Arlene was a former President of the Catholic Women's Club of Reading.

She was employed by Palmer Candy, West Reading as an administrative assistant.

Arlene is survived by twin sons, Fredric B. Vath, Lancaster; Michael B. Vath, Easton; a daughter, Kathleen M. (Vath) Campbell, Malvern; eight grandchildren, and nine great- grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 10:00 a.m. at St John Baptist de LaSalle Roman Catholic Church, 420 Holland Street. Shillington, PA 19607. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
