E. Grace Lengel

E. Grace Lengel, 95, resident of the Villa St. Elizabeth and formerly of Temple, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in the care of St. Francis Home. She was the widow of Richard K. Lengel, who passed away in 1987.

Born in Leesport to the late George W. and Mary (Mogel) Beard, Grace was the youngest of their six children. She retired in 1990 as a packer from Deiner Knitting Mills of Leesport.

A member of Olivet Reformed Church of Reading, Grace was part of the church choir for over 60 years. She loved to sing and play Bingo. She enjoyed watching the Phillies and hunting through yard sales. Her family was very important to her.

She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, and their families. In addition to her parents and her husband, Richard, Grace was predeceased by her siblings, George Beard, Dorothy Matz, Flora Moyer, Betty Fetter, and Shirley Long, as well as her long-time companion, Leroy "Bud" Fick.

A Celebration of Life for Grace will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Olivet Reformed Church, 1648 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Edward J.
