Dyana Y. (Medaglia) Balog, 50, died September 10 at 5:55 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been admitted the previous night.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter and step-daughter of Lawrence J., Sr. and Dawn N. (Pezdirc) Medaglia, Wyomissing and daughter of the late Gisela D. (Skowronek) Schaeffer.

She was a senior customer service representative for Allstate Insurance Co., Spring Ridge for the last 6 years of her working career. Dyana also obtained several professional certifications and licenses in the field of insurance.

Dyana attended Wyomissing Area High School.

She is remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt. Dyana was a gifted artist and decorator, who loved to laugh and enjoyed her Corona.

She is also survived by two daughters, Nicole D. Balog, Reading, daughter of J. Steven Balog and Alexandra D. Buss, Wyomissing, daughter of James R. Buss. Other survivors include one brother, Lawrence J., Jr., husband of Elizabeth B. Medaglia, Wyomissing and two sisters, Laura U. Medaglia, York and Michelle M. (Medaglia) wife of Philip J. Edwards, Wyomissing.

Dyana is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews, Vanessa, Max, Dan, Jack and Jessica.

Memorial Services will be Thursday at 12 noon in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be private. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Contributions may be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church 1101 East Wyomissing Boulevard Reading, PA 19611. Edward J.
