Drusilla April Haas

Drusilla April "Dru" Haas, 48, of Oley Township, died February 4, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

Born April 11, 1965 in West Reading, she was a daughter of Mary (Frey) Gummo of Jersey Shore, PA and the late Arthur Heydt Haas, Jr.

Dru was a 1983 graduate of Oley High School. She also earned her associate's degree in accounting from Albright College.

She was employed in the deli with Weis Markets, Oley, for 7 years, last working in late December. Prior to that, she was employed with Ames, Boyertown and Reading Post Office.

Dru was a member of Ark Bible Chapel, Boyertown, where she was one of the founding members.

She was a member of Pikeville Township Sportsman's Club.

Surviving are her three siblings: Rebecca M., wife of Matthew J. Tetley of Oley Township; Debra J., wife of Dennis R. Sonday of Hamburg and Samuel A., husband of Mae Haas of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include four nieces and a nephew: Bridgette, Jennifer, David, Betty and Lisa and two great nieces, Nicole and Kalynna.

Dru was predeceased by her brother, Mark A. Haas.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Ark Bible Chapel, 88 Woodchoppertown Road, Boyertown. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in church. Burial will be in Oley Union Cemetery, Spangsville.
