Dr. G. Carl Pettinato

Dr. G. Carl Pettinato, 83, formerly of Wyomissing, died July 29, 2014, in Reading Hospital.

His wife, Anne R. (Cucinotta) Pettinato, died December, 1995 and his loving companion of 10 years, Rosemary Mullenberg, died December 2012.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late James and Cora (Stella) Pettinato.

He graduated from Reading Catholic High School, St. Joseph University and Temple University.

Dr. Pettinato was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was employed as the Director of Psychological Services for Family Guidance Center, Reading.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.

Dr. Pettinato was a consultant for Reading School District and the State of Pennsylvania.

He is survived by two children, Steven J., husband of Maureen Pettinato, Chicago, IL and Susan L. Pettinato, Suwanee, GA and three grandchildren, Allison Curran, Kate Pettinato and Eric Pettinato.

Also surviving are nieces, Kathy Stoudt, New Orleans, LA and Lisa Haggerty and nephew, Robert Kreisher. both of Reading

He was predeceased by his brother Caesar G. Pettinato.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Gethsemane Chapel of Resurrection. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
