Dorothy F. Wixon

Dorothy F. (Youndt) Wixon, 82, of Shillington passed away April 28, 2017 in the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd C. and Jennie (Weitzel) Youndt.

Dorothy was a graduate of Shillington High School.

She was employed by Ronco Pharmacy as a sales associate for over 20 years.

Dorothy was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards and was an amazing cook.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael A. Wixon, Shillington, and Matthew J., husband of Kim Wixon, South Temple. She is also survived by her sister, Linda, wife of Merl Tinkey, Akron, IN; four grandchildren, Ryan M. Wixon, Mechanicsburg; Andrew G. Wixon, Shillington; Nicholas M. Wixon, Reading; Cole M. Wixon, Temple; two great-grandchildren, Harry D. Wixon and Chloe Wixon, and her feline companion, Precious.

Dorothy was predeceased by her three siblings, Mary Spannuth, Lloyd Youndt Jr., and Harold Youndt.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 3:00 pm in Wyomissing Cemetery, 1700 Old Lancaster Pike, Gouglersville, PA 19608. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
