Dorothy V. Ritz

Dorothy V. Ritz, 86, formerly of Temple, died Sept. 4 at 8:24 p.m. in Mifflin Center, Cumru Township, where she had been a resident since Jan. 22.

Her husband, H. Russell Ritz, died June 14, 1973.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late William M. and Della M. (Ream) Croll.

Ritz was last employed in the shoe department of Boscov's Department Store, retiring in 1984. She previously worked for 19 years as a knitter at Rosedale Knitting Mills, Laureldale, and for 24 years for at Kissinger Market, Reading.

She was a member of St. James Church, West Reading.

Ritz is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. (Ritz) Zimmerman, Spring Township.

There also is one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in St. James Church. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
