Dorothy Ann Taulker

Dorothy Ann (Hoch) Taulker, 81, of Oley, passed away November 10, 2014.

She was the wife of Elmer August Taulker, whom she married 56 years ago on June 14, 1958.

Born April 27, 1933 in Boyertown, she was a daughter of the late Grover Knabb and Sarah (Rissmiller) Hoch.

She was a graduate of Heidelberg University , OH.

Dorothy was a teacher for over 35 years, teaching in the Oley School District, retiring as a first grade teacher in 1995.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Spangsville, where she sang in the choir and was the Bell Director.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed reading and traveling the world and also taking trips to Atlantic City with her family.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her two children: Scott E., husband of Maureen Taulker, Leesport, and Wendy S., wife of Eric Snyder, Nottingham. Also surviving are her three grandchildren: Zachary and Benjamin Snyder and Elizabeth Taulker; and her three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, 325 Covered Bridge Rd, Oley, PA 19547. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Oley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church at the above address. Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., Oley is in charge of arrangements.
