Dorothy M. Spohn

Dorothy M. (Wisser) Spohn, 78, of Laureldale, died April 11th at 10:00 am in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where she had been since April 5th.

She was the widow of Dewey Paul Spohn, who died July 26, 1963.

Born in Virginville, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Carrie (Merkel) Wisser.

She is survived by a son, Ronald B. Spohn of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include three daughters, Sandra L. (Spohn) James of Laureldale, Debra S. (Spohn) Saylor of Allentown and Sheri L. (Spohn) Schaeffer of Blandon.

Spohn is also survived by a sister, Rachel (Wisser) Miller of Kutztown and three brothers, William Wisser of Virginville, Nelson Wisser of Georgia and Norman Wisser of Palmerton.

There are also nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Robert E. McSurdy officiating. Viewing Saturday 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
