Dorothy A. Smith

Dorothy A. (Rehnert) Smith, 85, formerly of West Reading, passed away August 4, 2015, at Berks Heim.

Born in Mt. Carmel, she was a daughter of the late Gordon J. and Ruth M. (Anthony) Rehnert.

She was a graduate of Reading High School.

Dorothy worked as an administrative assistant for Penske Racing, Godiva Chocolatier, Pitney-Bowes and the former Reading Rehabilitation Center.

She was a former member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Mt. Penn.

Dorothy devoted her life to her family.

She is survived by three children: David G. Smith, West Reading, Susan L., wife of Michael J. Rowley, Muhlenberg Township and Anne E. Deiterich, Lower Heidelberg Township; her sister, R. Jean Forry, Wyomissing Hills; five grandchildren: Michael II, Christopher, Peter, Gregory II and Courtney and five great-grandchildren: Abigail, Isabella, Owen, Olivia and Chase.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
