Dorothy J. Seifarth

Dorothy J. Seifarth, 72, passed away September 13, 2014 in ManorCare Sinking Spring where she had resided since 2000.

Her husband of 39 years, Wayne A. Seifarth, died July 28, 2012.

Born June 23, 1942 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Dorothy L. (Smith) Arndt.

She was a graduate of Germantown High School and earned her Master's degree from Kutztown University.

Dorothy was a teacher for the Reading School District for 10 years.

She was a former member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), and volunteered at the Robesonia Library.

She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Robesonia.

Her family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff at Manorcare for their kindness and for the many years of care provided to Dorothy.

She is survived by her two children: Amy D. Seifarth, wife of Aaron J. Smee, Ephrata; and Timothy A., husband of Katrina K. Seifarth, Ephrata. Also surviving are her siblings: Edward, husband of Jane Arndt, Macungie, and Marie, wife of Donald Rothenberger, Reading; and three grandsons: Milo, Cypress, and Ezra.

A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Service and entombment will be private.
