Dorothy Pendlebury-Lackey, 100, passed away November 16, 2012 in The Highlands at Wyomissing.

She was predeceased by her first husband, William D. Pendlebury in 1967 and her second husband, Leo W. Lackey in 2005.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late George F. and Annie (McColley) Holden.

Dorothy lived most of her life in the Philadelphia area with the exception of eight years spent in Hawaii where she became a Pearl Harbor survivor.

She was a member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church.

Dorothy was a past president of the Feasterville Women's Club. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, bowling and traveling.

She is survived by her son, William D., husband of Rebecca W. Pendlebury, Glenmoore and her daughter, Doris A. Grassi-Moore, wife of Richard A. Moore, Wyomissing. Also surviving are her 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her 5 siblings.

A Memorial Service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in The Highlands at Wyomissing Auditorium. Burial will be private in Forest Hills Cemetery, Feasterville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, 1 Carlisle Ave., Reading, PA 19609 or The Highlands Endowment Fund, 2000 Cambridge Ave., Wyomissing, PA 19610.
