Dorothy M. Leas

Dorothy M. "Dolly" (Drexel) Leas, 93, of Shillington, passed away September 10, 2024, at the Reading Hospital.

She was predeceased by both of her husbands. James R. Guiles passed on December 13, 1981 and John R. Leas, passed on December 19, 2017. She was also predeceased by her brother, Allen Drexel.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Dorothy (Hart) Drexel.

She attended Shillington High School.

Over the years, Dolly was employed by Bortz Chocolate, Arnold Book Bindery and lastly at the Berks County Courthouse, where she served as a Judicial Coordinator for 15 years.

She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers fan and always enjoyed watching games with family whenever she could. Dolly was always there for her family. She loved her kids, grandkids and great grandchildren all equally. She had a beautiful heart. Heaven gained an angel.

Dolly is survived by two children, Dennis, husband of Ruth Ann Guiles, Reading; and Linda, widow of Barry Shultz; Shillington; six grandchildren: Stacey Dreibelbis; Lori Shultz; David, husband of Danielle Guiles; Tiffanie Pettit; Rebecca, wife of Brandon Ziegler; and Kyle, husband of Megan Nase; and nine great-grandchildren: Kelsey Dreibelbis, Taylor Bowers, Kiah Guiles, Jade Guiles, Logan Pettit, Jaxson Pettit, Ethan Ziegler, Joanna Nase, and Cooper Nase.

Services will be Monday September 16. 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
