Dorothy M. Homan

Dorothy M. (Wells) Homan, 93, formerly of Reading, died July 18, 2008 at 8:15 pm in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township, where she had been a resident since November 7, 2006.

She was the widow of Joseph B. Homan, Sr., who died January 2, 1986.

Born in Reading, PA on September 26, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Frank Wells and Florence (Breneiser) Samsel.

She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Reading.

Dorothy was employed as a saleslady for 20 years with the former Shofers Bakery, Reading, before retiring in 1979.

She is survived by a daughter, Doris, wife of Fred Reinhard of Reading and two sons; Joseph B. Jr., husband of Yvette (Davidson)Homan, of Laureldale and Allan C., husband of Emamae E. (Brown) Homan of Bern Township.

There are also six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Randall A. Grossman officiating.
