Dorothy M. Becker

Dorothy M. (Faust) Becker, 87, passed away June 28, 2022, in her Hamburg residence.

She was the widow of Kenneth D. Becker.

Born in Windsor Castle, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Mabel (Schappell) Faust.

Dorothy was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; one of the best gifts she gave her children was staying at home to raise them. After her husband's death, Dorothy was forced to join the workplace; she was employed by the Hamburg Center as a nurse's aide.

She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and puzzles.

Dorothy is survived by four children: Susan Epting, Palatka, FL, Kenneth Becker, Slatington, Cindy Becker, Bernville and Diana Davenport, Shoemakersville; and two siblings: Harold, husband of Pat Faust, Windsor Castle and Shirley, wife of Lee Strickler, Leola. Seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive her.

She was predeceased by her son, Kerry Becker and her sister, Evelyn Faust.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 South Fourth Street, Hamburg, PA 19526 with burial to follow at Zion's Cemetery.
