Dorothy H. Lewis

Dorothy H. Lewis, 86, died April 18 at 1:50 p.m. in her Spring Twp. residence.

Her husband Gordon E. Lewis died in 1985.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Leon W. and Suzanna (Weida) Hill.

She was an Assistant Credit Manager for Glen Gery Corp., Wyomissing for more than 25 years until her retirement.

Lewis was a 1936 graduate of Shillington High School, where she was valedictorian. She also attended the McCann School of Business.

She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

Lewis was the Social Secretary for Alpha Iota Business Sorority, Reading. She was a volunteer for both Berks Visiting Nurse Association and Meals on Wheels. She was a Board Member of the Parents and Friends Association at Selinsgrove Center. She was a member of the Reading Toastmistress Club, the Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Reading Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of the former Christian Business Women's Organization, now known as Stone Croft Ministries, Inc.

Lewis is survived by one son, Richard E. Fisher, Jr., Flying Hills. There are also 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one step-son Joseph E. Lewis, who died March 17, 2001. She was also predeceased by one step-daughter Mary Lynn Lewis, who died January 21, 2005.

Memorial Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Selinsgrove Center Box 500 Rte. 522 Selinsgrove, PA 17870. Edward J.
