Dorothy E. Krieger

Dorothy E. Krieger, 90 formerly of Shoemakersville died in St. Joseph's Hospital on February 27th. She had previously resided at Hearthstone, Maiden Creek. Dorothy was the widow of Henry C. Krieger who died March 6, 1991. She was born in Shoemakersville and was the daughter of the late John and Elda (Woerner) Snyder. Dorothy was a 1941 graduate of Perry High School and a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Shoemakersville. She worked for 15 years as an occupational aide at the Hamburg Center retiring in 1985. Dorothy was a member of the Blue Mountain Chapter, #443 Order of Eastern Star and the Ladies auxiliary of the Shoemakersville Fire Company. She is survived by her daughter Kay Henn Kaufman and son in law Captain Edwin J. Kaufman of Hamburg, 3 grandchildren, Keith Henn, Hamburg, Kevin Henn, Denver, PA and Brian Henn, Auburn, 2 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5th at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg, PA.
