Dorothy R. Kolb

Dorothy R. Kolb, 81, died March 13 at 8 p.m. in her residence in Wyomissing.

Her husband, Charles W. Kolb, died June 18, 1998.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Esther (Schlegel) Zimmerman.

A registered nurse, Kolb was employed for 30 years in the dispensary by Carpenter Technology Corp., retiring in 1985.

She was a graduate of Reading High School and the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia. She also attended Albright College.

Kolb was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading.

She was a past president of the Reading chapter of Altursa.

Kolb was a former board member of the Women's Exchange of Reading.

Surviving are a niece and a nephew.

Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be private in Charles Evans Cemetery.
