Dorothy F. Knarr

Dorothy F. (Frantz) Knarr, 93, formerly of Bern Twp., passed away September 5, 2016 in Phoebe Berks.

She was the wife of Karl H. Knarr who passed away March 8, 2015. They were married February 28, 1942.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Earl L. and Bertha Schaeffer.

Dorothy was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church, Reading.

She was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, dogs and cat. Dorothy also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Michael K., husband of Suzanne Knarr, Mohrsville; June A., wife of Kevin Lerch, Wyomissing; and daughter-in-law Lois Knarr, Mohrsville.

Dorothy is also survived by her grandchildren: Barry Knarr, Lee Knarr, Matthew Knarr, Vincent Lerch: great grandchildren, Christopher Knarr, Brianna Knarr, Anthony Knarr, Sean Knarr, Cordelia Knarr and Vera Lerch; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son: Jay S. Knarr.

Services will be held Monday, September 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
