Dorothy G. Kegerise

Dorothy G. Kegerise, 89, formerly of Kenhorst, passed away August 29, 2015, in Manor Care Sinking Spring.

Her husband, Paul C. Kegerise, passed away November 17, 2005.

Born in Huntington, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Madeline (Smith) Simpson.

Dorothy graduated from Shillington High School in 1944.

She was employed by Sears for twelve years and later worked for Wachovia Bank before retiring in 1996.

Dorothy was an active member of the Auxiliary Sons of Union Veterans of Civil War where she had served as president. She had also served as president of Circle #5 Ladies of the Grand Army of the Civil War.

She is survived by a son, Scott E., husband of Holly B. Kegerise, Sinking Spring; and a sister, Betty Leibold, Blue Bell. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Dorothy was predeceased by two brothers, William L. Simpson and James R. Simpson.

Services will be held Thursday, September 3, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
