Dorothy Jane Davis

Dorothy Jane (Haldeman) Davis, 94, passed away in Mifflin Center, Shillington on Sunday, July 18th, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Norman M. Davis. The couple married February 9, 1946. Norman passed away June 25, 2015.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late William and Gula (Brinton) Haldeman. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Shillington. She was employed with Linette Candy and Nolde Hosiery. Later she was a full time wife and mother.

Dorothy enjoyed working in her yard. She followed Penn State Football and was a fanatical Philadelphia Eagles fan. Dorothy was dedicated to her family. Her grandchildren were here pride and joy. She was known for her homemade baked beans. They were the highlight of every family gathering. She enjoyed trips to the casino, baking apple dumplings and spending time with her family.

She is predeceased by her son Randall M Davis of Mohnton.

Surviving Dorothy are her daughter-in-law, Kathleen A. (Loose) Davis, wife of the late Randall M. Davis of Mohnton; two grandchildren, Jared M. Davis and his wife, Heather of Exeter Twp. and Kelly J. (Davis) Osenbach and her husband, George, III of Cumru Twp.; four great grandchildren, George Osenbach IV, Camden Osenbach, Jamie Hedrick and Levi Davis; two brothers, William Haldeman of Kenhorst and Edward Haldeman and his wife, Polly of the Villages, FL and two sisters-in-law, Shirley DeLong of Shillington and Deborah Bewley of Reading.

She is predeceased by two sisters, Margaret (Haldeman) Stevenson and Helen (Haldeman) Gees.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donation be made to her home church, Immanuel UCC, 99 S. Waverly St., Shillington, PA 19607. Edward J Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading is honored to serve the family.
