Dorothy Marie (Sload) Imhoff, 89, died June 22, 2008 in her Temple residence.

She was the loving wife of John Berthold Imhoff whom she married September 4, 1935.

Born November 3, 1918 in Coatesville, PA she was a daughter of the late William Bucher Sload and Ella Virginia (Hadley) Sload.

Dorothy is also survived by two children: John Orville, husband of Marilyn M. (Ludwig) Imhoff of Temple and Virginia Marie (Imhoff), wife of Emlyn R. Jones of Temple.

Other survivors include seven grandchildren: Margie L. (Pyle), wife of David Wanshop, David S., husband of Lana (Yue) Pyle, Amy L. (Pyle), wife of Kevin Hess, Susan M. (Pyle), wife of David Hettrick, Jonathan R., husband of Michelle (Dallas) Imhoff, Michelle R. (Clark), wife of John Reimert and Michael J. Clark and companion Sherri L. Lerch.

In addition there are 16 great grandchildren: Eric M. Wanshop, Geoffry A. Wanshop, Max R. Hettrick, Mickey D. Hettrick, Courtney A. Folk, Daniel M. Hess, Brooke E. Folk, Stephanie G. Pyle, Thomas J. Hess, Joseph D. Pyle, Grace E. Hess, Gavin Z. Reimert, Kelsey A. Imhoff, Emily R. Imhoff, Taylor L. Clark and Darin R. Reimert.

There are also five great-great grandchildren: Victoria A. Wagner, Kali E. Masciangelo, Jake A. Masciangelo, Jack L. Wanshop and Owen P. Wanshop.

Dorothy was predeceased by three brothers: William B., George K. and John H. Sload and a grandson, Nathan L. Jones.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Reading.

Dorothy was a Cub Scout Den Mother for the Local Pack #117.

She was passionate about her family and enjoyed reading, gardening, crafts and camping.

Dorothy was employed as a waitress by Naaman's Tea House and Hearn's Restaurant, both in Delaware and the Abraham Lincoln Hotel and Crystal Restaurant both in Reading. She was also employed as a seamstress for Temple Apparel, Temple. She retired from Tray-Pak, Muhlenberg Twp. where she worked in maintenance.

Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in Calvary Baptist Church, 510 Park Avenue, Reading, PA 19611, with the Rev. Russell E. Weidel officiating. Burial will be Thursday at 9am in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville. In lieu of flower, contributions may be made to the Church at the above address or Fleetwood Bible Church, c/o Men's Ministry, 2847 Moselem Springs Road, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
