Dorothy R. Hauptly

Dorothy R. (Reber) Hauptly, 84, formerly of Caernarvon Township, passed away January 1, 2015 in Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Her husband, William A. Hauptly, died April 28, 2014.

Born February 3, 1930 in Cressona, she was a daughter of the late Clayton D. and Alma E. (Herring) Reber.

She was a sewing machine operator for Mark III Sportswear, Birdsboro, until her retirement.

Dorothy enjoyed tending to her garden and feeding the birds. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

She was a member of St. Benedict's R.C. Church, Mohnton.

Dorothy is survived by her two children: James A., husband of Eileen Hauptly, Wernersville; and Duane A. Hauptly, Morgantown. Also surviving are her sister, Ida Wildermuth, Orwigsburg; her four grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings: Wilbert, Henry, Alberta, Joyce, Clarence, Cara Lyn, and Pearl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St Benedict's R.C. Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Rd, Mohnton, PA 19540. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Caernarvon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Benedict's R.C. Church, at the above address. Edward J.
