Dorothy E. Gundry

Dorothy E. Gundry, 85, of Spring Valley Road, Muhlenberg Township, died July 8 at 4:19 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since June 27.

Her husband, William M. Gundry, died Nov. 9, 1992.

Born in Laureldale, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Elizabeth (Shollenberger) Folk.

Gundry was employed as a waitress by Reeser's Restaurant, Tuckerton, and Kreska's Restaurant, Temple, retiring in 1989.

She was a 1934 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

Gundry was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park.

Surviving is a sister, Edna (Folk) Moyer, a resident at Berks Heim.

Other survivors include three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon G. (Gundry) Natale, in 1995.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Hyde Park.
