Dorothy A. Gehr

Dorothy Ann Gehr, 66, of 826 Thorn Street, Reading, died August 13th at 4:25 p.m. in St. Joseph Hospital where she had been a patient since August 8th.

She was married October 20, 1956 to Robert Kenneth Gehr.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Riley) Witter.

Gehr worked for 20 years at AT&T, Reading as a technician last working in 1996.

She was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Gehr is survived by a daughter, Karen L. (Gehr) wife of Earl Weidman of Reading and two sons; Robert K. Gehr Jr. of Fleetwood and John H. husband of Claire E. (Kriebel) Gehr of Muhlenberg Township.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Services from Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale, Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Viewing will be Friday Evening from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
