Dorothy E. Manzella

Dorothy Emma (Graul) Manzella, 87, died September 17, 2009 in her Laureldale residence.

She was married October 26, 1946 to the late Dominic Manzella, former Mayor of Laureldale Borough, who died June 21, 2007.

Born April 6, 1922 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Goldie E. (Ritz) Graul.

Dorothy was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.

Surviving are four children: Jon C., husband of Madilyn (Stafford) of Ithaca, NY; Candace R., wife of Carl Shaeffer of Wyomissing; Dorothy D. Lohr of Reading and Donna D. Lamanda of Wyomissing.

Other survivors include seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was predeceased by three sisters: Candice E. Fisher; Marie DiBlasi and Hazel M. Bewley.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
