Dorothy J. Diehl

Dorothy J. Diehl, 87, formerly of West Reading, passed away December 23, 2008 in the Lutheran Home at Topton, where she had been a patient for 8 ½ years.

She was the wife of David S. Diehl.

Born in Oley, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Sadie (Yoder) Herzog.

Dorothy was employed over 25 years in the capacity of vice president for Reading Trust, National Bank, Hamilton Bank and Core States, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Linda G., wife of John R. Kauffman, Spring Township; Barbara L., wife of David E. King, Bern Township and a son, Terry A. Lehman, Bear, DE. There are two step-sons, Randall, husband of Lori Madara, Muhlenberg Township, and David Jr., husband of Betsy Diehl, Frederick, MD; and a brother, Earl Herzog, Holliston, MA. Four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren also survive her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10 at 11 a.m. in West Lawn United Methodist Church.
