Dorothy Mary (DeLong) St. Clair, 86, formerly of Laureldale, died February 19, 2012 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.
She was the wife of Winfield Raymond St. Clair who died May 1, 2004. They were married 58 years. Together they had 8 children and Dorothy spent her life as a devoted wife and mother.
Born August 25, 1925 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Leonard R., Sr. and Rose Myrtle (Reed) DeLong.
Dorothy was employed as a supervisor with Bank of Pennsylvania for 10 years, until retirement.
Dorothy enjoyed retirement by spending time with her husband, reading novels, gardening, babysitting her grandchildren, sewing, volunteering and watching the Phillies.
Surviving are eight children: Cheryl, widow of Vince Dietrich of Mt. Penn; James, husband of Linda St. Clair of Hamburg; Terry, husband of Deborah St. Clair of Sinking Spring; Lynne, widow of Edward Anspach of Womelsdorf; Jan Gerhart of Robesonia, John, husband of Sharon St. Clair of Fleetwood; Mark, husband of Kelly St. Clair of Fleetwood and Michelle, wife of Paul Nicolodi, Jr. of Wernersville.
Other survivors include 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition, she is survived by a brother, George, husband of Pauline DeLong of Alsace Township. Dorothy was predeceased by a brother, Leonard DeLong.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in Charles Evans Cemetery, 1119 Centre Ave., Reading.
