Dorothy A. Bossler, 93 of Hamburg died March 8th in the Conerstone Living Center, New Tripoli. She was the widow of Charles E. Bossler, Sr., who died June 24, 2006. She was born in Pottsville and was the daughter of the late John A. Kuss and Florence M. (Elison) Kuss. She was also predeceased by her step-father, Walter W. Horn. Dorothy was a 1938 graduate of Wilson High School and a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. She worked as a cook and waitress from 1954 to 1971 at the former Horn's Diner, Shoemakersville. She then worked as a clerk for Adams & Bright Drug Store, Hamburg from 1971 until her retirement in 2000. Dorothy was a member of the Blue Mountain Chapter O.E.S. #443, Hamburg. Dorothy is survived by 1 daughter: Linda A. (Simpson) wife of David A. Fink, Windsor Township, and 1 son: Glenn C. Simpson, Windsor Township, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13th at 11:00am. from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. Order of the Eastern Star service will be held Wednesday morning at 10:15 am.
