Dorothy R. Bartman

Dorothy R. (Moyer) Bartman, 79, of Oley, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in her residence.

Born in Oley, she was the wife of the late Charles Melvin Bartman, who passed away November 15, 1991, and the daughter of the late Clarence and Meda (Rohrbach) Moyer.

She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Oley, and a member of the Oley Valley High School graduating class of 1951.

She is survived by two sons: Thomas A. Bartman and his companion Linda (Angstadt) Snyder of Oley and Jeffrey M. Bartman and his wife Betsy of Oley; a daughter, Brenda L. Yeager and her husband Matthew Adamitis of Muhlenburg Twp.; a sister, Arlene Breidenstein of Ephrata; five grandchildren: Nadine, Michelle, Lea, Julianna, and Ricky; and three great-grandchildren: Mason, Evan, and Owen.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from Friedens Lutheran Church, Oley, with Rev. David R. Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in Friedens Cemetery, Oley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday, March 5, 2012 at Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main St., Oley, and again one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
