Dorothy B. Ray

Dorothy B. Ray, 75, Spring Township, died Sept. 23 at 3:45 p.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Sept. 20.

She was the wife of Stephen A. Ray.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Stephen F. and Dora A. (Posta) Stofanick.

Ray had been employed by Carpenter Technology Corp., Reading.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Ray was a 1949 graduate of Reading High School.

She is also survived by a daughter, Margaret M. (Ray) Brown, Riverdale, Muhlenberg Township, and two sons, Michael S., Reading, and Timothy S., Shillington.

Other survivors include three sisters, Catherine (Stofanick) Kollar and Anna (Stofanick) Hess, both of Wyomissing, and Irene (Stofanick) Esterly, Fleetwood.

There are also four grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers: Contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Memorial Fund 2810 St. Alban's Drive Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
