Doris M. Sroka

Doris Marie (Jackson) Sroka, 79, of Laureldale, died October 10, 2011 in ManorCare Health Services, Inc., Muhlenberg Township, surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 28, 1932 in Reading, PA., she was a daughter of the late Harry LeRoy Jackson and Marguerite (Mohn) Jackson.

She was a graduate of Reading High School and McCann School of Business.

Doris worked as a dietician at Community General Hospital, Reading and was also employed as a manager with Mae Moon Dress Shop, Muhlenberg Township.

She was a past president of the Reading Elderly Housing Social Club and the Sunshine Club.

Doris was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.

She also liked watching horror movies, cooking and baking with her grandchildren.

Doris is survived by two daughters: Denise M. Stoudt, companion of Thomas M. Werner of Laureldale and Cynthia A. Sroka, companion of Michael W. Tobias of Spring Township.

There are also five grandchildren: Christopher S. Cinfici, companion of Jes Kaminski; Alan D. Budgeon; Brett M. Cinfici; Erick M. Cinfici, fiancé of Lacee Shuttleworth and Taylor P. Tobias, companion of James Romano.

Doris was predeceased by four siblings: Harry Jackson, Richard Jackson, William Jackson and Barbara Jackson.

A great granddaughter also survives her, Cheyenne L. Shuttleworth.

She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laurelale. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
