Doris (Hoffman) Row, 89, passed away December 22, 2016, in her Reading residence.
Her husband, Harold Row died in August of 1969.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Scheuring) Hoffman.
She was a 1944 graduate of Reading High School.
Doris was employed by Diamond Brothers Furniture and the 15th Ward Democratic Club.
She was a member of the Kenhorst Fire Company; North End Rod and Gun Club; Sinking Spring VFW; Haymakers Club and Reading Sokols Club.
Doris like riding with her son, Dennis on his motorcycle; going to the casinos; playing the punch boards; watching Price is Right and going to the Nascar races with her sons. She also was a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan.
She will be remembered for many things especially for her love for people and her ability to talk to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Doris is survived by two sons: Dennis Hoffman, Reading and Clay, husband of Linda Glessner, Tallahassee, FL and two siblings: Madeline Anspach and Clair Hoffman. One grandchild, Betsy, wife of David Gay; one great-grandchild, Hayley Bryce Gay and several nieces and nephews also survive her.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
