Doris M. Reitnouer

Doris Mae (Weisser) Reitnouer, 80, of Alsace Township, went home with the Lord May 11, 2011.

She was the wife and loving partner of Miles Franklin Reitnouer, whom she married September 12, 1953.

Born in her Laureldale Borough residence on November 24, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Charles William Weisser and Daisy Rebecca (Witmer) Weisser.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Doris was a 1948 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

In 1967, she and her husband founded Dor-Mae Industries and Reitnouer Inc., both of Muhlenberg Township.

Doris is also survived by three children: Pamela E. (Reitnouer), wife of Edwin W. Houck of Ruscombmanor Township; Miles A. "Bud", husband of Jo Ann (Schade) Reitnouer of Bern Township and Mitzi J. Reitnouer of Bern Township.

Other survivors include six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

There is also a sister surviving, Violet V. (Weisser), widow of Wilmer Weaver of Mulhenberg Township.

Her true passion was her children and grandchildren, faithfully following every aspect of their lives.

Services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held Friday from noon until time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
