Doris A. Noga

Doris Anne Noga, 77, formerly of Crestwood, died February 3, 2007 at 11 a.m. in ManorCare, Laureldale, where she had been since August 22, 2001.

She was the wife of Donald E. Noga.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Cyril J. and Naomi G. (Gehringer) Ganter.

She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1947, West Chester State Teachers College in 1951 and earned her Mater's Degree from Temple University in 1957.

Mrs. Noga was a teacher for many county high schools including Governor Mifflin High School, where she taught the last 18 years of her career, before retiring in 1983.

She had been the head coach for the Governor Mifflin softball and tennis teams. They were county champions in softball for many years and Mrs. Noga was the first girls varsity tennis coach at the school. She was also a licensed PIAA official for both field hockey and girls basketball for over 25 years.

Doris was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Penn.

She is also survived by one one son, Dr. Robert E. Noga, Wilshire and one brother, Gerard Ganter, Sebastian, FL. Three grandchildren also survive her. She was predeceased by one daughter, Kathleen L. Noga, who died March 6, 1989.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Catharine of Siena Church, Exeter Twp. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.
