Doris May (Knappenberger) Noecker, 84, of Lincoln Park, died October 9th at 1:57 am in the Phoebe Berks Health Center, where she had been since Thursday.
She was the widow of Donald Charles Noecker, who died January 12, 1963.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Leon Knappenberger and Mary Rebecca (Tobias) Knappenberger Bard.
She was a 1939 graduate of Wilson High School.
Noecker was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring.
She held various positions for the West Lawn Senior Citizens.
Noecker was employed a number of years by Willson Products, Reading and later for 20+ years by Western Electric, retiring in 1984.
She is survived by a daughter, Marsha Lynn (Noecker) Bentz of Spring Township and a son, Scott D. Noecker of Reading.
Other survivors include two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 9:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Rev. William R. Miller officiating. Viewings Tuesday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Wednesday morning 8:30 am until time of service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Christ Yocom's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Cumru Township.
