Doris M. Labe

Doris M. Labe, 93, formerly of Reading, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the care of Berks Heim. She was the widow of Thomas C. Labe, who passed March 18, 1995. Born February 18, 1927 in Reading to the late Harry and Ruth (Michael) Lengel, Doris graduated from Reading High School in 1945 and later graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1949. She was employed by the Reading Hospital as a registered nurse until her retirement in 1986.

Doris is survived by her cousin, Lillian (Clarence) Courtney of Blandon, and her sister in law, Lois "Dolly" Oberly.

Funeral Services for Doris will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11:00AM at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, with burial following at St. John Host Church Cemetery. A visitation will precede the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
