Doris L. Jasinski, 78, of Wyomissing, died March 2, 2010 in the Mifflin Center.
She was the wife of John S. Jasinski.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Sarah (Delp) Siegfried.
Doris attended West Reading High School, Reading Area Community College as well as Kutztown University. She received her B.A. in Public Relations and Journalism from Temple University.
She worked as a real estate agent for several years and then as a real estate appraiser for Great Valley Savings, Reading.
Doris was a member of a Pinochle card club for over 50 years. She enjoyed sports and was a terrific volleyball player.
She was a board member of Women Alone for the Red Cross.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Kent E. DeMoss, Mohnton; her daughter Kimber L. Connelly, Hershey and her step-daughters: Barbara D. DeMoss, Mohnton and Donna R., wife of Joseph Melnic, Middletown. Also surviving are her two sisters: Ellen Tyre, Wyomissing and Marian Ravel, Phoenix, AZ. There are six grandchildren surviving: Lauren DeMoss, Christin DeMoss, Heather Connelly, Lindsey Connelly, Bryana Melnic and Jonah Melnic.
Doris was predeceased by her brother, Charles Siegfried.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Wyomissing Cemetery. A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation: 1501 NW 9th Ave., Miami, FL 33136-1494.
