Doris J. Hiester

Doris Jean (Kaylor) Hiester, 84, of Laureldale, died July 5, 2009 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

She was the wife of Charles G. Hiester, who died August 25, 2005.

Born May 4, 1925 in Elizabethtown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Warrren Edward and Adella Mae (Donley) Kaylor.

Doris was a 1943 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

She was employed by the former Aeronautical Supply Company, Muhlenberg Township as a sewer.

Doris was a member of Grace (Alsace) United Church of Christ and Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park. She taught 40 years of Kindergarten Sunday School at Grace (Alsace) U.C.C. and was also a member of their Women's Guild.

Surviving is a daughter Patricia Hiester McCarty of Muhlenberg Township and her companion, James Niskoch.

In addition, there is a sister, Loraine (Kaylor), widow of Earl Loch of Goldsboro, NC and two brothers, Warren Kaylor of Pennsauken, NJ and Carl "Dick", husband of Patricia Kaylor of Snow Hill, NC. There are three grandchildren surviving, James Charles, Patrick Stanley and Elizabeth Doris McCarty.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Hyde Park.
