Doris Ann Gonzalez

Doris Ann Gonzalez, 51 , of Reading, died June 11, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been since Tuesday.

She was the companion of David Robert Long Sr., who died August 5, 2008.

Born in West Reading, PA on December 10, 1957, she was a daughter of Thelma (Martin) Gonzalez a resident of the Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilation Center, Reading and the late Miguel Eugene Gonzalez.

She was a 1975 graduate of Reading High School.

Doris was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Reading ,PA.

She was employed by the City of Reading's Water Department for 30 years before retiring in April of 2008.

Doris is survived by her two siblings; Michele J. (Gonzalez) wife of James D. Cooling of Denver, PA., and Michael E. widower of Betsy A. (Albright) Gonzalez of Temple, PA.

Her companion's son David Robert Long Jr. of Reading, PA, and her companion's mother Doris S. Long of Reading, PA also survive her.

There are also three Nephews; Alan, Seth and Collin.

Services will be Monday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
