Doris E. Campbell

Doris E. Campbell, 88, of Reading, passed away July 12, 2021, at the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Samuel J. and Ethel M. (Trexler) Campbell.

Doris was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1933 and Community General Hospital School of X-Ray Technology.

After graduating, Doris worked as an x-ray technician for J. Gershon Cohen M.D., Philadelphia, R. William Alexander M.D., Norman J. Winston M.D. and Reading Imaging Center of Reading. Doris's patients always appreciated her kind, gentle and compassionate approach she showed them at each appointment.

Her family, patients and dearest friends will always remember her as a warm, caring, selfless person with a great sense of humor who will be sincerely missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two cousins, Carol Ruth and Eric Trexler, as well as countless close friends. Doris is also survived by her beloved dog and companion, Haley.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with burial to follow at Sinking Spring Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
