Doris M. Desante

Doris M. DeSante, 88, of Muhlenberg Township, died December 15, 2008 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

She was the widow of Joseph John DeSante.

Born November 8, 1920 in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Annie May (Slack) Harvey.

Doris was a graduate of Coaldale High School, class of 1938.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna M. (DeSante), wife of Joseph H. Etzel of Penn Township and Karen M. (DeSante), wife of George A. Kielman of Silver Spring, MD and a son Joseph J., husband of Erin B. (Brophy) of Muhlenberg Township.

In addition there are four grandchildren, Tammy M. Etzel, Taylor A. DeSante and Stacey E. and Adam J. Kielman.

There are also two great-grandchildren, Dylan J. Etzel and Logan J. Scheifley.

Doris was predeceased by a brother, John Harvey and two sister, Clarissa (Harvey) Smith and Frona Harvey.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc. A visitation will be held a half hour before services in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
